Something that I always pray for and wish for is having a friend-like lover. This post may sound too emotional and creepy for some but I think i always think and wonder who my future spouse will be..or what she’s doing right now..haha 

If you know me a little, you’ll probably think that I’m not very family-oriented… but I actually am and think about it a lot. I truly value the happiness and comfort that my family provides and i look forward to sharing that with my beloved wife someday. Now i know it’s really weird that im already thinking about my future wife when i don’t even have a girlfriend but like i said earlier, it’s something that i pray for and wish for. It’s so funny how a lot of people think that I have very high or weird standards for girls because i dont really agree with them. I just have different standards. Ofcourse everybody likes pretty girls with pretty legs.. that’s a fact! but more than that, I think for me, I try to figure out if i could be true friends with her before i start liking her. Companionship and trust are two things that I value the most in a relationship and hopefully in marriage too. I imagine myself with my wife sitting at the dinner table or in a restaurant at the end of the day sharing our stories, encouraging each other, and planning our lives together just like how normal friends would have fellowship but at a more intimate level.. It’s like having a best friend who will cheer with you and cry with you in times of sadness. It’s your special someone who will be supportive of you and accompany you in the next chapter of your life.

I remember seeing a really old couple one time.. holding hands walking down the street. Call me a hopeless romantic but to me, that was one of the most beautiful things I saw in my life. It represented a life-long companionship and dependence for each other. Thinking about all this makes me really excited and hopeful. I dont know who you are.. maybe we’ve met already or maybe we haven’t met yet but whoever you are.. just know that I’m always praying for you and me :)
